Leading agricultural universities in Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are continuing a comprehensive practical academic exchange program aimed at strengthening scientific and educational ties between young specialists from the two countries. According to the Uzbek news agency Dunyo, a group of twenty students from the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers arrived in Ashgabat for a two-week internship at the Saparmurat Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University.

Under the guidance of experienced Turkmen instructors and leading industry experts, future land reclamation specialists and agronomists from the neighboring republic are actively participating in practical training sessions on current issues in water and agriculture in the region. In addition to lectures, the guests were given a detailed tour of the Turkmen university's educational infrastructure, specialized technical centers, the Scientific and Technological Park of the Turkmen Academy of Sciences, and the Central Botanical Garden.

The leadership of the Turkmen Agricultural University emphasized the symbolism of this project, rooted in the centuries-old bonds of brotherhood and good-neighborliness between the two peoples. The hosts expressed sincere gratitude to the leaders of both countries for creating unprecedented opportunities for the professional growth of young people, commending the Uzbek students' deep passion for scientific research.

A logical continuation of this bilateral partnership will be a return visit planned for June and July of this year, during which twenty students from the Turkmen Agricultural University will travel to Tashkent for a similar internship at a leading Uzbek agricultural institute.

Such initiatives not only facilitate the rapid transfer of advanced agricultural technologies in Central Asia but also make a significant practical contribution to expanding the long-term Turkmen-Uzbek strategic partnership in science and higher education.
