The New Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Belarus Visited the Embassy of Turkmenistan


Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus Nazarguly Shagulyev met with newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nuriddin Mamajonov in Minsk. The meeting was held on the initiative of the Uzbek side.
The diplomats discussed the state and prospects of bilateral relations, touching on political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation. The diplomats focused on strengthening economic and cultural ties, as well as joint work within the multilateral framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
During the conversation, the Uzbek diplomat confirmed Tashkent's readiness to deepen the partnership, including within the CIS.
The Turkmen side, in turn, briefed its counterpart on key national initiatives for 2026 and preparations for the meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, which will be held in Ashgabat on September 23.
The Ambassador Uzbekistan expressed Tashkent's strong interest in expanding multi-vector dialogue with Ashgabat and extended congratulations on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.
