Dagestani wrestler Mahmud Magomedov is invited to lead Turkmenistan's freestyle wrestling team. Being a native of the school of free-style wrestling of Khasavyurt, Magomedov represented Azerbaijan, repeatedly becoming the winner and prize-winner of the European championships, the World Cup winner, the winner of the Cup of Azerbaijan, held triumphant victories at the Grand Prix "Yashar Dogu" in Turkey, "Ivan Yarygin" in Russia, the Golden Grand of the memory of Heydar Aliyev, and the international tournament "Henri Delaunay" in France. Speaking about the method of working with the team, Mahmud said that athletes are waiting for intensive and regular training, including in Dagestan. He also added that he intends to organize joint trainings with the national teams of Kazakhstanand Turkey for the exchange of experience, to call the famous sportsmen for conducting special sessions.
"Turkmenistan has created all the necessary conditions for the successful performance of athletes and raising the sporting authority of the country," Mahmud said.
In this connection, he expressed confidence that Turkmen athletes will successfully perform at the Asian wrestling championship, which will be held in February-March in Bishkek, as well as at the Summer Asian Games in Jakarta in 2018.
It should be noted that the Dagestani wrestler trained his brother Adam Batyrov for the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, successfully held in Ashgabat last September, where the athlete won a gold medal.
