The Madrasa Under Construction in Arkadag City Will Be Granted the Status of a Higher Education Institution


The madrasa being constructed next to the new Arkadagyň Ruhy metjidi mosque in Arkadag City is planned to be granted the status of a higher education institution. The proposal was put forward by a representative of the clergy, Y. Hojagulyyev, at a working meeting held in the new city, TDH reports.
According to him, the scale and level of construction of the madrasa meet the requirements set for higher education institutions. The new status is expected to make it possible to organize education in accordance with generally accepted educational standards in the Islamic world and contribute to passing traditional spiritual values on to the younger generation.
The proposal was approved by Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan. He noted that higher education institutions specializing in Islamic studies operate in many countries around the world.
In this regard, recommendations were given to further strengthen the material and technical facilities of the educational institution under construction and to make use of international experience in organizing the educational process and mastering the subjects being taught.
The importance of consultations and coordination with members of the Muftiate of Turkmenistan was also emphasized. Particular attention was paid to determining fields of study and developing appropriate educational programs in accordance with international standards.
