New Details of Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez's Wedding Have Been Revealed

New details of Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez's marriage registration have been revealed. According to a document obtained by the Portuguese newspaper Jornal de Notícias, the civil ceremony took place on August 11 at the couple's home in Cascais.
The marriage was registered at 1:30 PM. In addition to the couple's five children, four witnesses attended the ceremony. These witnesses were Miguel Paixão, a friend of Ronaldo's from his youth years at Sporting Lisbon's academy; Ivana Rodriguez, Georgina's sister; and Spanish jeweler José Rodriguez Sangil and his wife, Mónica González Martínez.
The ceremony was conducted by Maria Manuel Folhadela de Oliveira, a registry office employee who traveled from Porto for the occasion. The document does not list the footballer's mother, Dolores Aveiro, or his sisters, Elma and Katia Aveiro, among those present.
One of the key details was the couple's decision to establish a property separation regime. Under this regime, the spouses' property is kept separate in accordance with their prenuptial agreement and Portuguese law. This regime is not standard for marriages in the country and requires a prior agreement.
According to the documents, Ronaldo and Rodriguez signed a prenuptial agreement on August 10—the day before their marriage registration—at a notary office in Lisbon.
The marriage registration also indicates that neither Ronaldo nor Rodriguez changed their surnames after the registration.
The couple's usual place of residence remains listed as Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, where Ronaldo plays for Al-Nassr.
The couple has been dating since 2016. Ronaldo and Rodriguez announced their engagement in August 2025. The wedding took place in Cascais, despite speculation that the wedding would take place in Madeira, the footballer's homeland.
A few days before the ceremony, hundreds of people gathered at Funchal Cathedral, hoping to witness the wedding of Ronaldo and Rodriguez. However, these expectations were dashed.
Instead of a public event, the couple chose a private civil ceremony in Portugal, limiting attendance to family and close friends.
