Ahalteke horses are residents of the Middle Kingdom

The first batch of Ahalteke horses from Kazakhstan arrived to a new place of residence - a farm for breeding Ahalteke houses in the administrative center of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of Urumqi. This news was spread by Xinhua News Agency.
Earlier ORIENT reported that a small herd of pure-bread Ahalteke from Kazakhstan, consisting of 12 mares and 9 stallions, undergoes a 45-day quarantine, and then settles on the horse farm of the company YEMA Group.
The report of the Chinese news agency noted that the YEMA Group is breeding Turkmen thoroughbred horses, importing horses from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Russia, and currently has a herd of 140 magnificent horses of this breed.
I must say that the rapid growth in the popularity of Ahalteke horses in the world can only be compared with their speed on the race track. Today Ahalteke animals bring not only moral and aesthetic satisfaction to their owners, but also a good financial income. Therefore, the breeding of these horses is experiencing a real renaissance in the world.
And yet, despite the fact that more and more new breeders in the world are starting to work with Ahalteke, experts in the field of horse breeding unanimously acknowledge that the elite of the Ahalteke horses is in Turkmenistan.
