The United States Temporarily Changes the Visa Appointment Process

The U.S. Department of State has temporarily suspended the acceptance of applications for visa interview appointments at diplomatic missions around the world.
The pause is due to scheduled training for consular staff. As a result, diplomatic missions are currently updating their work schedules and document intake systems. At the same time, all interviews that had already been scheduled will take place as planned, while urgent requests will continue to be considered on an individual basis.
The date for resuming regular appointment scheduling will be announced later. Travelers and businesspeople planning trips to the United States are advised to monitor announcements on the official websites of U.S. embassies and take possible delays in document processing into account.
