Cotton Harvesting Campaign Launches in Turkmenistan

The cotton harvest began simultaneously across all of Turkmenistan’s provinces (velayats) on September 9. Procurement centers, cotton-ginning plants, and specialized laboratories under the State Service for Standardization—which ensure quality control of the raw material for the national textile industry—are fully prepared to receive the new "white gold" crop.
Uninterrupted harvesting operations are supported by round-the-clock service teams, ready-to-use agricultural machinery, and the provision of supplies to daikhan (farmer) associations on preferential terms. To mark the start of the harvest season, local events featured exhibitions of agro-industrial products and ceremonies honoring top-performing workers, who received valuable gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan. The first convoys carrying the raw crop have already arrived at the country's receiving facilities.
