Uzbekistan Will Host the First Central Asian International Student Sports Forum for the First Time
From September 29 to October 2, Uzbekistan will host the 1st Central Asian International Student Sports Forum. The large-scale event is timed to coincide with the visit of Leonz Eder, President of the International University Sports Federation (FISU), Yuz.uz reports.
The main goal of the forum is to create a unified platform for the development of student sports in the region. The event will be attended by FISU leadership, as well as delegations from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. Representatives of sports federations and international organizations will discuss prospects for further cooperation and the exchange of experience.
During the visit, the FISU head will study the Uzbek model of university sports development, its organizational mechanisms, and achieved results. In addition, Leonz Eder will take part in the grand opening ceremonies of competitions within the framework of the "Five Initiatives" student Olympiad.
The forum emphasizes the growing role of Central Asian countries in the international student sports movement and opens up new opportunities for young athletes in the region.
