New Residential Buildings to Be Constructed for Oil and Gas Workers in Mary, Balkanabat, and Turkmenbashi
The development of social infrastructure for workers in the national fuel and energy sector was among the practical issues addressed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during Friday's Cabinet of Ministers meeting. Deputy Prime Minister Guvanch Agajanov presented a report on the planned construction of modern residential complexes in the country's regions.
A key project in this program is a large-scale residential complex in the city of Mary, designed to accommodate a total of 720 families. The first phase will see the construction of eight four-story buildings—four with 40 apartments each and four with 24 apartments each—providing comfortable new housing for 256 families of industry specialists. Concurrently, plans are in place to build ten four-story buildings for 240 families in Balkanabat, while a twelve-story high-rise with 72 apartments will be constructed in Turkmenbashi. The project aims to directly link the production successes of the oil and gas sector to a tangible improvement in the living conditions of those who ensure its day-to-day operations.
