Elon Musk calls SpaceX a “Super Intelligence” company and announces SpaceXAI rebrand
SpaceX founder and CEO Elon Musk has described the company as a “Super Intelligence” firm, adopting terminology promoted by U.S. President Donald Trump.
In a post on X, Musk said SpaceX is a Super Intelligence company. In a separate message, he said he preferred “SI” to the traditional term “AI.”
Replying to a user, Musk also confirmed that SpaceXAI will be renamed SpaceXSI. SpaceX had earlier absorbed Musk's xAI business, integrating its activities into SpaceXAI.
In late September, Trump signed an executive order directing federal agencies to use the terms “Super Intelligence” and “SI” instead of “Artificial Intelligence” and “AI” in official communications and documents.
According to CCTV+, Musk's announcement shows that the new terminology is beginning to spread beyond federal government usage into the technology sector. For now, the SpaceXAI-to-SpaceXSI change mainly reflects a rebranding rather than the announcement of a new technical architecture.
