Youth "Club of diplomats": about the Great Silk Road - in a new format

The student "Diplomats Club" of the International University for the Humanities and Development organized a series of events in honor of the Day of Diplomatic Workers of Turkmenistan, celebrated on February 18th. A week under the slogan "Diplomacy on the Great Silk Road" included various contests and competitions among students, including the football championship among the faculties of the IUHD. No less exciting than football battles, was a contest called "Best Speaker", where the participants were shining with eloquence, skills of public speaking, the ability to think critically and demonstrate leadership qualities.Arslan KEMALOV
During the week there was also a competition of thematic stories, which contributed to the identification of literary talents of young people. An exhibition was organized on the Great Silk Road and diplomacy, where everyone could participate in a quiz and win prizes.
A seminar was held with the participation of Ambassador at Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Sapar Berdiniyazov. The participants of the seminar discussed the rich history of the Great Silk Road described in the book "Turkmenistan is the heart of the Great Silk Road" by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and also the significance of the TAPI gas pipeline project, groundbreaking of the Afghan section of whoch will be held next week.
The "Club of Diplomats" of the International University for the Humanities and Development was established in November 2015 to introduce students to the art of diplomacy and to promote the development of diplomatic and communication skills among young people.
