In poetry, the green color always symbolized hope, peace and intellect. These ideas formed the basis of the project “Green Lamp” - the so-called literary Internet club, created in 2016 in Ashgabat. Its history is similar to many other success stories of Internet projects. A small account in social networks has evolved into a community that has united hundreds of people. On its site contests, literary duels and poetic lessons were held.Maya Amanmuradova
The main concept of the “Green Lamp” is self-improvement. The enthusiastic participants of the project take inspiration for everyday life in poetry, prose and drama. For example, it’s became a tradition in the club to ends speech with “ahoy!”, which refers to the medieval epic poem “Song of Roland”, each stanza of which ended with this watchword.
The ideological inspirer of the project keeps saying that the “Green Lamp” is all of them together, implying the imperishable story of Alexander Green. He is right because friendly atmosphere contributes to the disclosure of talents, and objective criticism and readiness for dialogue support the participants in the desire to develop further. That is why the project is growing, attracting new like-minded people.
Now the club is available off-line, that is, not only in virtual, but in real life. Recently, the “Green Lamp” poetic evening, which gathered the most active participants, their friends and simply people who like poetry, was held at the territory of the art space “Dvor” in Ashgabat.
The company included quite different people such as young, romantic schoolgirls, fathers of families, musicians, teachers, students, who shared a part of their soul with each other.
Rhymes flowed like water, conversations and discussions stopped only during speeches. The participants read both author's essays, and masterpieces of recognized geniuses. They discussed ways to expand the project and a topic for the next Green Evening.
Now the meetings of the “Green Lamp” club have become regular, and anyone who want to see, listen, participate, and perhaps, to light a green flame in their heart can join as well.
So, as they say in the “Green Lamp”,
Ahoy!
