At the end of April this year, Tashkent will host international conference “Caspian Heavy 2018”, being one of the leading events in transport and logistics sector of the Central Asia and the Caspian region. The Turkmen transport market will be represented at the forum by the well-known logistic company “Great Silk Road Group”. Annually, since 2011, “Heavy Caspian” provides a platform for dozens of profile companies and enterprises from Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Latvia, Turkey, UAE, Iran, Germany and Luxembourg. The boom in the development of hydrocarbon resources on the Caspian shelf and in Central Asia caused infrastructure upgrade of the oil and gas industry. Great Silk Road Group, established in 2012, is a consortium of two companies - Beyik Yupek Yoly and Payhas Merkezi. The group arranges comprehensive logistics services - from customs clearance, warehousing, booking of containers to delivery between the transshipment points and realization of most efficient schemes for multimodal cargo transportations. The group has fulfilled a number of projects for such foreign clients as TOYO Engineering, Siemens, Dragon Demiryolu Lojistik, Hyundai Engineering & Construction, Petrofac. The Great Silk Road Group initiated the opening under the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan of the Department for logistics and transport, dealing with promotion of domestic transport and logistic operators.
