Learning Languages - Discovering the World
The study of foreign languages in Turkmenistan is gradually turning into a lifestyle, which is gaining popularity due to the policy of "open doors" and a qualitative leap in the development of education. In all state educational institutions of the country lessons are introduced in one or several additional languages. All pupils and students either study, or already mastered one of the foreign languages.
Head of the language center "Dalchin" Nazar Atajanov notes: "Over the past few years, that we are conducting our educational activities, we are seeing an unprecedented growth of interest in learning languages. And, in turn, we are working on improving our services, trying to meet all the needs of our customers."
The need for foreign languages in Turkmenistan is caused by a number of factors. For example, an increasing number of foreign companies are investing their money in the economy of Turkmenistan, opening branches in our country and attracting Turkmen specialists to work. Also, Turkmenistan is the center of various symposiums, conferences, exhibitions and international events.
Finally, the forthcoming Games of Ashgabat 2017, which will gather tens of thousands of guests not only from the Asian part of the Eurasian continent, but from around the world, are also very important. For full-fledged work and life in modern Turkmenistan, which unites many nationalities and cultures on its territory, specialists in various fields with knowledge of foreign languages are needed.
As noted in the "Dalchin", special demand now is seen for accelerated language courses. The educational center has developed training programs that require full mastering of a foreign language in six stages within 18 months. For example, with due diligence on the part of the students of English language courses, they will be able to pass the IELTS exam with distinction, which is necessary for getting work in foreign companies and enrolling in international universities.
For a short period of time, Dalchin has become a real flagship in providing educational and translation services in Turkmenistan. The main difference between these language courses is that their training programs are based on the teaching materials of Cambridge University.
"Dalchin" plans to develop cooperation with this eldest and most prestigious university in the UK, which should result in the creation of specially adapted for Turkmenistan educational literature. Such educational tools will be oriented to the cultural, historical and linguistic features of our people, becoming more accessible for understanding by Turkmen students who have not previously studied the language.
Also, IE Dalchin is distinguished for its successful work on many large projects. For example, it was Dalchin who provided translation services to the British firm Gaffney Clein during the independent audit of the supergiant gas field Galkynysh. Today Dalchin closely cooperates with Trivandi Chanzo Limited, the official consultant of the Executive Committee for the preparation for the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.
In partnership with the British company, Dalchin is working on training foreign language volunteers for the Games, and is also involved in servicing official delegations. The duties of the educational center will include simultaneous and consecutive translations, translation of official documentation and information and consulting services.
The motto of IE "Dalchin" is "Learn languages, discover the world!", which speaks eloquently about the great prospects that open before the students of the educational center. The name itself also has a non-obvious at first glance meaning. "Dalcin" is translated from Turkmen as "cinnamon" - spice, which is a favorite of true gourmets and gives food and drinks a special piquancy.
In the East it is believed that cinnamon not only heals, but also invigorates the spirit, leaving a long aftertaste. So graduates of the educational center "Dalchin" after completing the courses not only acquire a separate column on the knowledge of a foreign language in their resume, but also receive strong language knowledge and international communication skills.
