Symbols of Ashgabat Asian Games will become a part of sports philately
On the occasion of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat, the postal service of Turkmenistan issued stamps with various sports.
Two series represent 21 disciplines included in the program of the Games of "Ashgabat 2017". Colorful stamps in green, blue, red and yellow colors (the color of the mascot of the Games) of one series depict their main character alabay in each sport, and the other - the pictograms of these sports.
Bright, elegant stamps, printed on album sheets for four couplers, will diversify the collection of any philatelist. Collecting is one of the possibilities to preserve artifacts of historical significance. One of these, of course, is the symbolics of the Asian Games-2017 as the largest sporting event in one fifth part of the world.
