The head of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will visit the capital of Turkmenistan for the opening of the Asian Games-2017 on September 17th. The visit, undertaken at the invitation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, was announced by the Uzbek foreign policy department. The Uzbek leader will greet the national team of his country at the parade of athletes, one of the largest at the Games (more than 200 people), and also hold a number of meetings with the heads of states and governments of the countries, who will also come to the Turkmen capital to participate in the upcoming festivities. Uzbek athletes will perform at the Asian Games in all competitions entered in the program, with the exception of billiards.
