The Presidents of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan spoke by phone
Telephone conversation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took place today, September 22.
The Uzbek leader, congratulating his Turkmen counterpart on his birthday, wished him health, prosperity, great success, as well as prosperity to the Turkmen people.
During the conversation, the presidents of the two neighboring states touched upon the topics of Uzbek-Turkmen relations, preparation of upcoming summit meetings, opportunities for increasing the volume of mutual trade, cooperation in industrial, energy, transport, agricultural, cultural spheres. The interlocutors did not ignore the results of the recent SCO summit in Samarkand.
Concluding the conversation, Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Turkmen people on the upcoming Independence Day of the country.
