Within the framework of the high-level week of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, the annual Ministerial Meeting of the Group of Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC) was held.

During the event, gratitude was expressed to the Government of Turkmenistan for convening the Conference of Ministers of Transport of the LLDC countries, following which the Avaza final statement was adopted, the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov sent a video message to the participants of the meeting, in which he summarized the main results of the conference held on August 15-16, 2022 in the city of Turkmenbashi.

The meeting participants discussed the progress made by the LLDC countries in implementing the Vienna Programme of Action, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, as well as preparations for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.
