The official visit of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Turkmenistan will take place on October 20-21. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov reported to Head of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the preparation of this visit.
The program of the visit is being worked out jointly with the Uzbek side, as well as a package of bilateral documents that are planned to be signed following the Turkmen-Uzbek talks in Ashgabat.
Earlier it was reported that during Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to Turkmenistan, the Tashkent park will be opened in the Turkmen capital, as a response gesture to the opening of the Ashgabat park in the Uzbek capital.
The first visit of Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Uzbekistan in the status of head of state took place on July 14-15, 2022. Then in Tashkent, a large package of joint documents as well as export-import contracts between companies were also signed at the government and departmental levels.
