Tajikistan launched a freight train to Turkey on a new route through Turkmenistan

The first freight train from Tajikistan went to Turkey through the territories of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Iran, reports news.mrud.ir

Upon the invitation of the Minister of Transport of Tajikistan, Azim Ibrokhim, delegations of the countries participating in the multimodal transport corridor took part in the opening ceremony.

At the same time, a logistics conference was held in Tajikistan, aimed at increasing the transit of goods along the new route to 20 million tons per year. In order to implement this plan, Tajikistan intends to conclude a joint action plan and a new transit agreement with Uzbekistan so that bilateral cooperation can be operational.
