Construction of facilities of the Turkmen-Uzbek border trade zone has begun
The Presidents of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev launched the construction of facilities of the Horezm–Dashoguz border trade zone via video call, TDH reports.
The foundation was laid on the adjacent territory of the two countries in the area of the Shavat – Dashoguz checkpoint. It is planned to create a modern infrastructure at the facility, including trade pavilions, warehouses, container sites, andworkspaces for entrepreneurs.
The new border trade zone should contribute to the growth of mutual trade and the activation of business contacts. For this purpose, during the visit of the head of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan, a protocol was signed on the continuation of work on the creation and regulation of the activities of this zone.
