President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty – the upper chamber of the Turkmen parliament Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed congratulations to President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping on his re-election as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

Congratulatory messages were handed over to Chinese Ambassador Qian Naicheng at a meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on Sunday, the country's foreign ministry reports on its website.
