The visit of the chairman of the Halk Maslahaty to South Korea is planned
An official visit of Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty – the upper chamber of the Turkmen parliament – Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Korea is planned in the near future. This is stated in the message of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry about the meeting of the foreign ministers of the countries participating in the Central Asia – Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum by Prime Minister Han Doksu, which was held in Seoul on Monday afternoon.
During the meeting, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov discussed with Korean Prime Minister Han Doksu the prospects for the development of relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea in the trade, economic and investment fields.
The parties also considered the possibilities of expanding cultural, educational and language projects of the King Sejong Institute Foundation in Ashgabat and other regions of the country.
The interest of the Turkmen side was expressed to continue cooperation in the field of education using modern information and communication technologies.
The Prime Minister drew the attention of the Turkmen side to the opportunities of Korean companies in the implementation of energy and industrial projects. In turn, Meredov confirmed his country's interest in cooperation with Korea in such areas as oil refining, energy, chemistry, space and transport, according to a press release from the office of the Korean prime minister.
