Kyrgyzstan plans to purchase 350 million cubic meters of Turkmen gas

Kyrgyzstan is negotiating the purchase of 350 million cubic meters of gas in Turkmenistan, the Minister of Energy of the Republic Taalaibek Ibrayev said at a government meeting, 24 KG reports.

"...There are procedures. Negotiations are also underway to purchase 350 million cubic meters of gas. We offered a price. My deputy is in Ashgabat on this issue," the official said.

The head of the Ministry of Energy also noted that last week the countries agreed to supply 2 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity from Turkmenistan to Kyrgyzstan.
