Turkmenistan and the EU discussed joint projects in the field of youth policy
The implementation of joint projects in the field of youth policy was discussed during the visit of the Ambassador of the European Union to Turkmenistan Diego Ruiz Alonso to the Balkan region.
The diplomat met with representatives of the MagtymgulyYouth Organization in Turkmenbashi to discuss prospects for bilateral cooperation. The Turkmen side expressed interest in joint projects with the EU, in particular in the field of training among young people, which will cover trade and transport issues.
The Ambassador also visited the Turkmenbashi International Seaport. He got acquainted with the structure and operation of the seaport, considered its possibilities for interaction with European countries.
During the visit, Diego Ruiz Alonso held official meetings with the mayor of the region, heads of administrations of the cities of Turkmenbashi and Balkanabad, as well as entrepreneurs and public associations.
The diplomat also visited historical and cultural monuments of the Balkan region, where European archaeologists once conducted excavations. For example, Dehistan, which is considered one of the main medieval oases of southwestern Turkmenistan.
Within the framework of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the EU, it is planned to organize visits of the ambassador to all regions of the country.
