The representative list of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity of UNESCO has been replenished with multinational nominations, in which Turkmenistan has become a full-fledged co-author.

This is reported by the website of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, summing up the preliminary results of the work of the Turkmen delegation at the 17th session of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Turkmenistan took part in the development of relevant documents and in the nomination "Sericulture and traditions of silk production in weaving", in which Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan also co-authored.

Another joint nomination is "Traditions of Retelling jokes by Hoja Nasreddin", which was nominated by Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan.
