Since the beginning of the year, more than 350 thousand new bank cards have been issued in Turkmenistan

From January to December 2022, 371 thousand 854 bank cards were issued in Turkmenistan, according to statistics published on the website of the Central Bank of the country.

Over the year, the number of plastic cards across the country increased by 7.7% and amounted to 5.1 million. Compared to 2018, the number of bank cards in Turkmenistan increased by 117.3% in 2022.

Dayhanbank issued the most plastic cards — more than 1.8 million. Turkmenistan Bank is in second place with about 1 million cards, and Halkbank closes the top three, having issued almost 600 thousand.
