The price of gold on the New York COMEX exchange exceeded $1.9 thousand for the first time since the end of April 2022. At the peak, the precious metal rose by 1.15% per troy ounce, reports Iz.ru.
The central banks of the countries are buying gold in record volumes. Russia and China became the leaders in acquiring gold in 2022, the Financial Times wrote earlier.
