First golf club in Turkmenistan is preparing to receive guests
The opening of a golf club with fields for this elite game, which is located on the south-western outskirts of Ashgabat city, practically in the foothills of the Kopetdag will take place in a few days.
Correspondent of Orient had an opportunity to visit the golf club on the eve of the official opening ceremony and was able to conclude once again that the most daring and ambitious projects are realizing brilliantly in our country.
Indeed, it was quite unexpected to see such beauty, impressive landscapes, unusual for Turkmenistan lawns with holes and flags in the place where were untouched hills and abandoned wastelands.
But then they were outside the city line. And now the capital has widely spread its borders, stepping immediately into all four directions of the world.
The whole complex with a presentable building of the golf club and idyllic fields with lakes and waterfalls occupies more than 70 hectares. Project-consulting work for the golf course of the capital of Turkmenistan was made by the American company Nicklaus design, which is headed by the famous golfer Jack Nicklaus. The construction of the golf course, that is, the practical implementation of the project, carried out the domestic company "Myradym".
Looking at the completely transformed area, one can only imagine approximately what a huge amount of work it required. But it was worth it because the first golf club of the capital will become one of its most picturesque sights.
