UNICEF will hire a consultant


UNICEF in Turkmenistan is looking for a national consultant to model subversive measures for children in conflict with the law.
Responsibilities:
- Promotion and development of further amendments to criminal and civil legislation in the field of juvenile justice system
- Development of favorable measures for children in contact with the law
Qualification requirements and evaluation criteria:
The national consultant on the simulation of subversive measures for children in conflict with the law must have a higher legal education and at least 5 years of experience in the government in the field of child rights and justice for children. The candidate should know international instruments and standards related to the rights of the child, have experience in the development of laws and regulations in this area. The one should also have analytical and report writing skills, excellent written and oral command of Russian and Turkmen languages, English will be an advantage.

UNICEF will introduce partners in the field of justice with best practices in the use of subversive measures and will support the Prosecutor General's Office of Turkmenistan in developing a Divergence Concept with a restorative justice approach, which will be launched in 2023.
