The head of the circus group "Galkynysh" became the rector of the International Horse Breeding Academy
Honored Artist of Turkmenistan, head of the national equestrian group "Galkynysh" Pygy Bayramdurdyev has been appointed a Rector of the newly created International Horse Breeding Academy named after Aba Annayev.
This decision follows from the decree of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the establishment of the International Academy and its issues. The document was signed at the expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday, TDH reports.
The Academy, which is located in the city of Arkadag, will train personnel in the field of horse breeding, work to preserve the purity of the breed of Akhal-Teke horses and increase their numbers.
Pygy Bayramdurdyev made a significant contribution to the development of the Turkmen circus art: he is known for his tours abroad and appearances at significant international events, including the Victory Parade in 2010 in Moscow and the opening of the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat in 2017.
