FIFA named three contenders for the prize of the best player of the year

FIFA has announced the final three nominees for the 2022 Player of the Year award (for the 2021/22 season and the 2022 World Cup). Lionel Messi (PSG, Argentina), Kylian Mbappe (PSG, France) and Karim Benzema (Real Madrid, France) are contending for The Best award.

The three finalists were selected from a shortlist that was made public in January with the help of an international jury that includes national team coaches and captains, journalists and fans.

Player of the Year will be announced in Paris on February 27, 2023. In 2020 and 2021, the Polish forward Robert Lewandowski, who at that time played for Bayern, became the owner of this award.
