8.6 tons of humanitarian cargo, including medicines, winter clothes and beds, were sent from Turkmenistan to the earthquake-affected areas of Turkey on February 28, Turkish Ambassador to Turkmenistan Togan Oral said on Twitter.

Humanitarian aid was sent by truck with the support of the Union of Women of Turkmenistan and the Turkish Embassy.

Earlier in the day, 1100 warm blankets and 89 beds were sent to Turkey by plane from Ashgabat, which were collected by volunteers and the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan (NRCST).

On February 24, with the support of NRCST, charitable organizations and volunteers, 100 beds and 60 heaters were sent to the affected provinces of Turkey.
