The solemn ceremony of awarding the prestigious "Islamic Direction of the Year" award to the city of Khiva took place at the Halal in Travel Global Summit 2023 in Singapore, which was attended by the Uzbek delegation. The prizes were awarded to the nominees by the Singapore company Crescentrating Pte. Ltd., which annually sets and awards ratings on the attractiveness of halal tourism to foreign countries, the Doone news agency reports.
It was noted that this honorary title is a confirmation of the recognition by the international community of outstanding achievements and innovative practices of Uzbekistan in the field of Halal tourism.
