International Yoga Day to be celebrated in Ashgabat
The Embassy of India in Turkmenistan invites everyone to join the celebration of the International Yoga Day, which is celebrated on June 21.
A yoga class in the Ashgabat sports complex "Bagtyyarlyk" will be conducted by a qualified specialist Maria Baryshnikova. It starts in the morning at 06:30.

The UN General Assembly declared June 21 the International Day of Yoga in 2014. The draft resolution that establishes the International Yoga Day was proposed by India and supported by members of 175 delegations.
This date was not chosen by chance. This day is considered the day of the summer solstice, which is the longest of the year.
Yoga is not only a balance within the body or a balance between mind and body, but also a balance in a person's relationship with the world. It carries values such as mindfulness, moderation, discipline and perseverance.
Yoga classes help to strengthen both physical and mental health.
