In the International University for the Humanities and Development, a master class was held to help professors, specialists, and students who are keen on science, to understand the intricacies of publishing articles in specialized authoritative journals. The training was conducted by the director of the information analysis company Elsevier (Netherlands), Aliya Ospanova, as part of an international conference on education and sport held annually in Ashgabat. As A.Ospanova stressed, the number of scientific publications in international journals increases the so-called citation index of a scientist or specialist, according to which the degree of his authority in the world scientific community is determined. There is also an index of citing by country, summarizing the number of publications in the state, indicating the level of development of the relevant sciences in its territory. During the seminar, four main rules were identified that help to publish in such journals: • Use only proven and reliable sources of information; • Find a magazine that is right for your topic; • Take into account the format provided by the publication; • Correctly quote and refer to the work of other scientists. The Humanitarian University is one of the few Turkmen universities where all classes are conducted exclusively in English. This increases the chances of his students to publish in prestigious publications, from the university bench, opening the way to a great science, since most international scientific journals are published in English.
