Diplomatic World magazine presented a publication about the Turkmen Alabai to an international audience
Recently, the 71st issue of the international journal Diplomatic World was published, which published an article about the Turkmen Alabai, prepared by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kingdom of Belgium. The article is entitled "Turkmen dogs of the Alabai breed: a symbol of faithfulness and strength" and reveals the unique advantages and features of this breed, such as physical strength, bravery and devotion, which made it a reliable friend, helper and defender of man.
In Turkmenistan, alabai is considered a national treasure and is highly valued for its ability to vigilantly protect the owner's family, livestock and property. This is one of the most ancient dog breeds, numbering from 3 to 6 thousand years of its history and has come down to our days in almost the same appearance as our ancient ancestors knew it.
The article also sheds light on the pages of the formation of the breed, since the natural region of its formation is the territories of the Asian part of the world from the Caspian Sea in the west to the modern border with China in the east.
The article emphasizes the importance and value of this breed for the culture and history of Turkmenistan. His role in the life of the people is evidenced by numerous archaeological finds, sculptural images of Alabai, as well as echoes of his image in the ornaments of ancient Turkmen carpets.
