Eco-Сity Arkadag opens prospects for green innovation
A series of international thematic forums that started in the city of Arkadag after its grand opening continued on Monday with a conference on ecology and nature protection.
The purpose of this expert event, which brought together key decision-makers in this area, experts who put these decisions into practice, international figures, representatives of the academic community, business and the media, was to consider priority areas for the development of a new eco-city with an emphasis on environmental, sustainability and economic impact.
The agenda here is the most extensive, since green and environmentally friendly technologies being introduced in the city of Arkadag cover almost all aspects of life from land use and urban planning to efficient transport management, energy saving, emission and pollution control, health, etc.
All this requires legislative regulation and legal support, political vision and public participation, civil initiative, interaction between government and business, science and industry, international cooperation, including on the climate track.
So the green development of the city of Arkadag opens up great prospects for investment and innovation, human-oriented innovation, partnerships with foreign companies and international organizations in building an environmentally efficient industry and a healthy society. In this context, representatives of the UN and its agencies, the Regional Environmental Center for Central Asia expressed support for the implementation of the ecological strategy of the "smart" city of Arkadag, expressing their readiness to provide advisory, expert assistance, offer knowledge and experience, best world practices for adaptation in the country's first smart eco - City.
