Turkmen films will be presented at the Dushanbe International Film Festival
The first International Film Festival "Toji Somon" will be held in Dushanbe from October 15 to 19. The event is organized with the support of President Emomali Rahmon in honor of Tajik Cinema Day. And now the selection of films for the festival is taking place.
"Films will participate in two competitions – feature films and short films. At the moment, films from Europe, Asia and the CIS continue to be accepted," Tajikfilm notes, reports asiaplustj.info .
According to the report, the selection began on August 22 and at the moment more than 25 films from Iran, Belarus, Hungary, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Armenia, India and China have been reviewed and viewed. All of them are recommended to participate in the "Toji Somon" contests.
The purpose of the film festival is to support creative youth, exchange experience, improve the skills of young filmmakers, develop joint projects, present tourist destinations, strengthen and expand international ties in the film industry.
Famous cinematographers from different countries will take part as guests of honor.
In addition to competitions, the film festival also includes a meeting of the Board of Directors of film Studios, familiarization with film projects (cartoons, feature films and documentaries), a meeting with famous representatives of cinema, Cinema Days of foreign countries and much more.
