Startup Ecosystem 2023 Launched in Turkmenistan: Call for Applications Announced
The National Public Association "Union of Economists of Turkmenistan" and the USAID Project for the Development of Modern Professional Skills (YDA) are launching a joint implementation of the "Startup Ecosystem - 2023" program. The goal of the Program is to develop in Turkmenistan a market for services in the field of business incubation and acceleration of start-ups (new implemented innovative business ideas), which will lead to improved conditions for the development of youth entrepreneurship and the creation of new jobs.
In 2023, the Startup Ecosystem program will focus on the implementation of developed products or services by startups on the market, expanding coverage of the country's regions and involving a wider range of venture investors. The program will consist of the following steps:
- Recruitment by each acceleration company of participants (residents) on a competitive basis
- Academy (training of residents)
- Incubation (working out and testing an innovative business idea)
- Acceleration (organization of sales of the developed product or service on the market with the involvement of the necessary resources)
- Monitoring and development (individual consultations for each startup and tracking their further evolution)
During the program, acceleration companies will have to prepare the recruited residents (participants) of the program, based on their own experience and teaching and training methods. The program organizers will assist the selected acceleration companies in mastering the basic techniques and methods of preparing startups, as well as in conducting a series of general trainings for program residents from all acceleration companies and attracting venture investors.
At the end of the program, a final competition of startup projects (final demo day) will be held for the best startup teams from each acceleration company.

In connection with the launch of the program, applications are being announced from training centers, consulting companies, recruitment agencies, as well as other companies and organizations capable of performing the functions of business incubators / accelerators or striving to become them, for participation in the program. An organization will also be selected to take on the functions of providing methodological advice to business incubators/accelerators.
