A youth creative competition for the Presidential Prize has been announced in Turkmenistan
A creative competition among young people on the theme “Ocean of Wisdom of Magtymguly Fragi” has been announced in Turkmenistan to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the great philosopher and classic of national poetry. The youth competition will be held as part of the traditional national competition for the award of the President of Turkmenistan - “Türkmeniň Altyn Asyry”.
A decree on this was signed by the head of state, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, during a government meeting on Friday at the suggestion of Deputy Prime Minister Myahrijemal Mammedova.
According to the document, the results of the new competition will be summed up in December of this year, and its winners will be awarded a cash prize and a gold chain from the President of Turkmenistan. Cash prizes will be allocated from the President's Charitable Foundation.
The competition is designed to stimulate the interest of young people in a deep study of Magtymguly’s literary heritage and their desire for creative growth.
The Ministry of Culture, the State Committee on Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography and the Turkmen State Publishing Service have been instructed to ensure the organization of this competition.
