Turkmen delegation participates in the International Cultural Exhibition “Silk Road” in China

The sixth International Cultural Exhibition-Fair “Silk Road” took place in the Celestial Empire. More than 1,200 Chinese and foreign guests - politicians, heads of international organizations, cultural experts, historians and scientists - gathered in the city of Dunhuang, Gansu Province, bigasia reports.
The main country and guest of honor at the forum this year was Turkmenistan. The Great Silk Road is not only an ancient trade route, but also a long road that leads to the exploration of cultures along the entire route, Bayrammyrat Gurbanov, head of the Turkmenistan delegation, noted in his speech.

“Penetration of cultures, traditions, worldviews - the Great Silk Road connected our countries and was a bridge not only for mutually beneficial trade exchanges, but also for broad civilizational communication. We are the heirs and successors of this unique experience in modern conditions - we are building our connections, developing cooperation, and ensuring the continuity of our relations,” the Turkmen expert said.
It was not by chance that Dunhuang was chosen as the venue for the exhibition. In ancient times, it was the gateway to the Celestial Empire on the Great Silk Road. The district is now famous for the Mogao Caves, which are listed as a UNESCO cultural heritage site. The first cultural exhibition-fair “Silk Road” was held in Dunhuang in 2016.
