The Minister of Education of Turkmenistan participates in the Forum of Rectors of Universities of Central Asian countries in Dushanbe
The second Forum of Rectors of Universities of Central Asian countries started its work in Dushanbe on Wednesday. The meeting is taking place within the framework of the fifth advisory council of the heads of Central Asian countries, which will be held in the Tajik capital on September 14-15. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Education of Tajikistan.
The forum is attended by Ministers of Education of Central Asian countries, as well as rectors of universities of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. The Turkmen delegation is headed by the Minister of Education Gurbangul Atayeva.
The formation of a higher education system and a single humanitarian space are the main factors in the development of cooperation between the countries of Central Asia. The close cooperation of the universities of Central Asia and the knowledge centers of the region can contribute to the achievement of certain strategic goals in the field of education, it was noted at the congress.
Within the framework of the Forum, a number of agreements were signed aimed at developing scientific and pedagogical ties, academic activities and two-level education programs between universities of Central Asian states.
