The majority of business trips to Uzbekistan were made this year from Turkmenistan

During January-August 2023, 36.8 thousand foreign citizens entered the Republic of Uzbekistan for commercial purposes. Moreover, the majority were citizens of Turkmenistan - 21.4 thousand people went on business trips to the neighboring country since the beginning of this year.
The Agency for Statistics under the President of Uzbekistan provides such information on its website.
Tajikistan took second place in terms of foreigners entering the country for commercial purposes – 9.3 thousand people. Afghanistan is in third position with 1.1 thousand people. Next in descending order are China, India, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, the USA and Iran.
