The Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Palestine signed the roadmap of cooperation
Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov has signed a roadmap for cooperation with his Palestinian counterpart.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the signing of the roadmap took place during a meeting of the foreign ministers of the two countries on the sidelines of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly in New York on Tuesday, September 19, WAFA news agency reports.
The Roadmap is aimed at implementing the agreements and memoranda reached between the parties, which were signed between the State of Palestine and Turkmenistan during the visit Riyad Al-Maliki to Ashgabat at the end of August.
It includes concrete steps to develop multi-level political, diplomatic, trade, economic, humanitarian and cultural cooperation, as well as the implementation of joint projects and programs between the private and public sectors of the two countries in various fields, including a clear schedule of events for 2023-2024.
The Ministers stressed the importance of the adoption of this document in strengthening relations between the two countries, achieving sustainable development and common prosperity, and also noted the need to make joint efforts to ensure the implementation of the roadmap plan in order to achieve mutual benefits and enhance regional and international cooperation.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine Riyad Al- Malik met with President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Speaker of the Turkmen Parliament Dunyagozel Gulmanova during the aforementioned visit to Ashgabat. And at the talks in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the heads of the diplomatic departments of the two countries signed a memorandum on the establishment of a joint government committee.
