Baku sent its new ambassador to Ashgabat
Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov accepted copies of credentials from new Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Turkmenistan Gismat Fuzuli oglu Gozalov.
At a meeting held on Monday at the country's Foreign Ministry, diplomats reviewed current vectors of bilateral cooperation and partnership development within the framework of international structures, primarily at the UN.
As for trade and economic interaction between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan, an increase in mutual trade turnover and the presence of great potential in this area were noted. The fuel and energy complex, environmental issues, transport and logistics were also named as important areas of cooperation.
Attention was paid to cooperation between the two countries in the fields of education, science, tourism and cultural exchanges.
