Andrey Zhurbin, a literature teacher from the Astrakhan Region, took the initiative to create friendly literature centers in the Caspian states during the meeting of the President of the Russian Federation with the laureates and finalists of the All-Russian Teacher of the Year competition. He proposed to open such humanitarian centers in Astrakhan, the cities of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, which would "be engaged in the construction of cultural bridges across the Caspian Sea."

According to the teacher, such projects contribute to the mutual exchange of cultures with friendly countries and the possibility of a deeper study of the literature of Asian countries. The idea of the Astrakhan teacher was supported by Vladimir Putin, saying that "we are united not only by the Caspian Sea, but also by a common culture and a common centuries-old neighborhood."

The President assured that he would instruct the Foreign Ministry, the government and the administration of the head of state to think over the implementation of this proposal and present the project at the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum, which is scheduled for November 16-18. The participants will be representatives of the CIS, SCO and BRICS countries, TASS reports.
