Turkmenistan is expected at the Eurasian Week in Paris


The delegation of the Eurasian Department of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan during their visit to Ashgabat on Tuesday, November 7, where a bilateral meeting was held. The head of this OECD department, in an interview with the Chairman of the CCI Mergen Gurdov, noted that Turkmenistan is expected to participate in the OECD Eurasian Week, which will be held in Paris next month, from December 12 to 14, and gave a general understanding of the event.
During the meeting, the parties expressed their opinion on the development of a beneficial mutual partnership between Turkmenistan and the OECD, discussed issues of improving the business environment, attracting investment, improving the digital system, as well as the country's accession to this Organization. One of the topics of the talks was Turkmenistan's participation in the work on the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor. This is reported by the press service of the CCI.
The OECD is an international organization established in 1961 to promote international trade and stimulate economic progress. The OECD unites most developed and some developing countries. Their total number is 38. The OECD headquarters is located in Paris.
