Turkmenistan and the UAE discussed bilateral partnership


On Friday, November 10, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova met with a delegation of the United Arab Emirates headed by a member of the UAE Federal National Council, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hidayat International Center for Combating Violent Extremism Ali Rashid Al-Nuaimi.
During the discussions, the parties analyzed the main vectors of bilateral partnership as well as further plans for Turkmen-Emirati cooperation. The Deputy Minister noted that the productive political dialogue that has developed between the two countries at the high and highest levels contributes to the dynamic development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UAE.
The participants of the meeting came to the conclusion about the need to intensify inter-parliamentary cooperation and stressed in this regard the important role of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group established between the two countries.
Also during the conversation, the parties stressed the progressive development of trade and economic ties, prospects for deepening partnership in the field of energy, transport and logistics, and also touched upon the topics of ecology and environmental protection, expressing hope for the successful holding of the 28th meeting of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 28) in Dubai in December this year.
